Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed a doctoral degree or equivalent in the Humanities, Liberal Arts, Arts, Fine and Applied Arts, or related fields. Applicants should possess expertise in, and or have conducted research related to, Art, Creative Culture, Museum Studies, or other areas of Public Humanities associated with art and creative culture. Candidates with knowledge and skills in Digital Humanities will be given special consideration.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will undertake teaching duties, conduct research, provide academic services, and perform administrative tasks for the programmes or the faculty in accordance with the workload proportions specified by the Faculty of Humanities.
During the first five years of employment, the selected candidate will teach in the existing International Bachelor of Arts Programme in Humanities and Sustainability (BAHS), with a focus on Art, Creative Culture, Museum Studies, and or Public Humanities. In addition, the candidate will collaborate with colleagues to develop and administer the faculty’s new international programme in Art and Creative Culture. The selected candidate is expected to apply their academic expertise, professional experience, and existing networks in curriculum development and in creating distinctive extracurricular activities with strong international appeal.
Salary and Benefits:
The monthly salary for the Lecturer position is 41,000 THB (before tax, social security, and provident fund deductions). The salary may be negotiable for candidates with prior experience in teaching and thesis supervision. Additional benefits follow university policies and regulations, including university staff health insurance and other incentives.
Duration of Contract:
This is a fixed term contract of five years, with the possibility of renewal subject to performance and achievements. The appointment includes a one-year probationary period. The successful candidate must pass the probationary evaluation, as specified by the faculty, to continue for the remaining four years of the contract.
