Our Story

The BA Humanities and Sustainability program, known among students as BAHS, was established in 2021 and welcomed its first cohort in 2022. The program was created to provide a fully English taught humanities education for both Thai and international students, while responding to the growing demand for graduates with adaptable knowledge and practical human skills in a rapidly changing world.

Learning to work with people, technology, and the world responsibly.

From the beginning, BAHS was designed with a flexible and interdisciplinary approach that moves beyond the traditional “major” system. Students are encouraged to combine specialised knowledge with broad perspectives, preparing them to work across different fields and social contexts.

Beginning in 2026, the revised BAHS curriculum places stronger emphasis on the human skills that are becoming increasingly valuable in the age of artificial intelligence. The program focuses on emotional management, interpersonal communication, collaboration, cultural literacy, and ethical thinking, alongside the effective and responsible use of AI technologies. BAHS aims to develop graduates who understand both people and technology, and who can work effectively with individuals and communities from diverse backgrounds in an increasingly interconnected world.
