Academic calendar & admission channels

• The semester calendar of BAHS program and other programs in CMU is as follows: 
Semester 1 is between mid-June and early-November
Semester 2 is between the end of November and March

• There are 2 channels for admission applications:
"CMU-IPAS" - the admission website for applicants from schools outside Thailand, international schools in Thailand, and non-formal educational system that ​has an equivalent to the high-school level.
"TCAS" - the admission website for applicants from Thai schools who have Thai A-Level scores


• For CMU-IPAS, there are two rounds for launching the applications
IPAS 1 is from 5 November 2024 to 2 January 2025
IPAS 2 is from 13 February to 20 March 2025
IPAS 3 is from 1 May to 8 May 2025*
(*Please note that only Thai nationals and the foreign nationals who already have a Non-Immigrant ED can apply in IPAS 3 round).

We accept around 40 qualified applicants in CMU-IPAS system.

For TCAS, there are four rounds for launching the applications
TCAS 1 is from 5 November 2024 to 14 November 2024
TCAS 2 is from 18 February 2025 to 27 February 2025
TCAS 3 is from 6 May to 12 May 2025

We accept around 20 qualified applicants in TCAS system.

What are the general requirments?

1) Has completed or is currently in the final year of high school. Please note that the definition of "final year of high school" may vary by country, so applicants should verify which qualification is acceptable. Please refer to the official admission announcement of CMU for specific details on recognized high school qualifications.

2) Holds the results of an English language proficiency test (native English speakers are exempt).


What to be submitted?
Applicants are required to submit a portfolio that contains the following items:

1) Applicant’s Curriculum Vitae (CV)

2) ​Information about the applicant’s involvement in extracurricular activities that demonstrate the development of leadership, critical thinking, cultural competence, or a service mindset should be provided. This information should be presented both visually, through photos or links to videos, and textually, with descriptions of the activities shown in the photos or videos.

3) ​A short essay of no more than 500 words that responds to the following question: "In the humanities, which subject excites you the most and why?" 
(Please note that the recruitment committee uses plagiarism and AI detectors to screen essays. If plagiarism or AI-generated writing is detected, we reserve the right to disqualify applications without notice.) All documents that make up the portfolio should be formatted on A4 paper and saved as PDFs.

Which track do I choose, IPAS Track 1 (Regular) or Track 2 (Special)?

Track 1 is for applicants who DO NOT hold the following English test results: 
IELTS, TOEFL, Dulingo, CMU eTEGS, CU-TEP, and TU-GET.
