Academic calendar & admission channels

• The semester calendar of BAHS program and other programs in CMU is as follows: 
Semester 1 is between mid-June and early-November
Semester 2 is between the end of November and March

• There are 2 channels for admission applications:
"CMU-IPAS" - the admission website for applicants from schools outside Thailand, international schools in Thailand, and non-formal educational system that ​has an equivalent to the high-school level.
"TCAS" - the admission website for applicants from Thai schools who have Thai A-Level scores


• For CMU-IPAS, there are two rounds for launching the applications
IPAS 1 is from 31 October 2023 to 4 January 2024
IPAS 2 is from 13 February to 27 March 2024
IPAS 3 is from 1 May to 9 May 2024*
(*Please note that only Thai nationals and those who already have a Non-Immigrant ED can apply in IPAS 3 round).

We accept 46 qualified applicants in CMU-IPAS system.

For TCAS, there are four rounds for launching the applications
TCAS 1 is from 31 October 2023 to 9 November 2023
TCAS 2 is from 13 February to 22 February 2024
TCAS 3 is from 6 May to 12 May 2024
TCAS 4 is (TBA)
We accept around 15 qualified applicants in TCAS system.

IPAS: Requirements and Documents

What are the general requirments?

• Has completed or is studying in the last year of high school. Please note that because the level of "the last year of high school" in different countries are not the same, applicants should check which one is acceptable. Please refer to the official admission annoucement of CMU for the specific details of recognised high school qualificaitons.
• Hold the result of English language proficiency test (an exemption is given to native English speakers).

What to be submitted?
Applicants are required to submit a portfolio that contains the following items:

1) Applicant’s Curriculum Vitae

2) The information about applicant’s involvements in extra-curricular activities which show the developments of leadership, or critical thinking, or cultural competence or seervice mindset. The information should be displayed through visual means such as photos or links to videos AND textual means such as the descriptions of activities in the photos or videos.

3) A short essay no longer than 500 words that responds this question: "In the humanities, which subject excites you the most and why?”
(Please note that the recruitment committee uses plagiarism and AI detectors to screen the essays. If detected, we reserve all the rights to disqualify applications that show traces of plagiarism and AI-writing without giving a notice.) All documents that make up the portfolio should be formatted on A4 papers and saved as PDF.

Which track do I choose, IPAS Track 1 (Regular) or Track 2 (Special)?

Track 1 is for applicants who DO NOT hold the following English test results: 
IELTS, TOEFL, Dulingo, CMU eTEGS, CU-TEP, and TU-GET.
